A Milton man is facing a week without his vehicle or driver’s license after being stopped by police in Guelph.

Police say an officer noticed a vehicle zooming onto the Hanlon Parkway southbound from Wellington Street West shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The officer took a radar measurement of the vehicle and registered a speed reading of 160 km/h in an area with a speed limit of 70 km/h.

Police pulled the vehicle over without incident.

The driver, a 31-year-old man, was charged with speeding and stunt driving.

Under the Highway Traffic Act, the man’s driver’s license was suspended for seven days, and his vehicle held by police for the same period.
