One of Waterloo Region’s most notorious properties has a new owner.

The North Dumfries farm previously belonging to accused murderer Dellen Millard has been sold to a landscaping company.

The farm, located on Roseville Road between Roseville and Ayr, was the focus of an intense police presence last year, as detectives investigated the death of Tim Bosma.

Bosma, an Ancaster resident, disappeared after going on a test drive with two men who had expressed interest in purchasing his pickup truck.

Police have said his burned remains were found on the property, and Millard, 28, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with Bosma’s death.

He had purchased the farm in 2011 for more than $800,000 – paying in cash.

The new owners of the farm do not want to be identified, but paid $840,000 for the property and took possession at the end of February.

A real estate agent close to the deal says representatives of the company contacted Millard’s lawyers to express their interest, and a private sale was arranged from there.

Thursday, police announced that Millard also faces first-degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of his father Wayne Millard and ex-girlfriend Laura Babcock.

Mark Smich, 26, is also charged with murder in the Bosma and Babcock cases.
