A crash on Franklin Street in Kitchener is causing traffic headaches and has cut power to the area.

A utility pole was knocked down on Franklin, not far from Ottawa Street.  A number of powerlines are down. Franklin Street is closed at Ottawa to Bradley Drive

The crash, which happened around 6:00 a.m. Thursday, put an area of the Stanley Park area in the dark, effecting approximately 2,400 customers.

By 7:15 a.m., all but twenty or so homes had power restored.

Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro estimates it will be 9:00 before power is restored to everyone.
