More than 400 properties north of Ayr were left without power Wednesday evening after a vehicle hit a hydro pole.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m., not far from the intersection Cedar Creek Road and Northumberland Street.
Regional police and hydro crews remained on scene late Wednesday night trying to clean up downed power lines and get generators running in the area.
The road is expected to remain closed overnight.
