It’s a tradition that takes place on every Friday the 13th.

The population of Port Dover swells from about 6,000 to over 100,000 as motorcyclists from across Ontario gather in the small community to check out each other’s rides.

“It started 27 years ago,” says Norfolk County Mayor Dennis Travale. ”A few boys got together in a hotel and said ‘Let’s meet again next year.’ It’s a spontaneous event. We don’t manage it from the perspective that we don’t sell tickets. They just arrive!”

The rally also brings in big money for the community.

Last year it’s estimated the rally generated $17 million.
