The Ministry of Labour is investigating an incident which saw an air ambulance land at Elmira District Secondary School.
The air ambulance was called after a 28-year-old man fell from a crane platform while working on construction of an addition at the Elmira Pet Products plant.
He does not work for Elmira Pet Products, but for Wingham-based Canadian Crane Rentals.
An Ornge spokesperson said that the man was airlifted to Hamilton General Hospital with critical injuries.
An update on the man’s condition was not available Thursday morning.
