After record high in 2014, Ontario's soybean crops on the decline

Ontario farmers are planting more corn, oats, barley and dry beans.

Statistics Canada says fewer acres are being dedicated to soybeans and wheat.

They say the drop in soybean planting follows a record high sown last year.

Statistics Canada says the data comes from a survey of nearly 5,000 farmers across the province.
