Police are reporting Municipality of West Perth resident Travis Brown is dead, after his pickup truck rolled over in a ditch and he was ejected from the vehicle. He was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Police were called to the scene of the crash on Perth Line 24, southwest of Mitchell, early Friday morning. They determined it took place sometime prior to 6:30 a.m.
The Dodge pickup truck had been travelling west bound, when it left the roadway, entered the ditch and rolled over. Initial reports say speed and a lack of seatbelt are a factor in the fatality.
Perth Line 24 between Road 170 and Road 179 remained closed Friday morning, but is expected to reopen later in the day.
