A woman suffered major damage to her right eye after she was struck by an egg Saturday night near the University of Waterloo.

Police say the woman and a friend were walking along Hickory Street around 11:30 p.m. when a car with four men drove by and started throwing eggs.

Police say one of the women was hit so hard, she was taken to hospital and may require surgery.

The other woman was also pelted with eggs, but wasn’t hurt.

Officials are now asking the public’s help identifying the four men inside the car. They don’t know what the men look like, but describe the vehicle as an older, smaller white sedan.
