BARRIE, Ont. - Police say a Toronto woman has died in a crash on a highway near Barrie.
Provincial police say it happened around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Highway 11.
They say a vehicle travelling south swerved into the ditch, then back into traffic, hitting another vehicle that was heading north.
The driver, a 41-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released.
Police say a passenger in her vehicle and the driver of the other vehicle were seriously hurt but are expected to live.
That stretch of the highway was closed to traffic for several hours but has since reopened.
