A security van was the only unusual sight Thursday along the North Dumfries length of Enbridge’s Line 9 pipeline.
Last week, a group of protestors showed up at the oil pipeline, near Highway 24 and Lockie Road.
They claimed Six Nations had not been properly consulted about the work Enbridge was doing at the site.
The workers – who, company officials say, were inspecting the line to determine if it needed any maintenance – agreed to leave the site, and stayed away the following day as protestors remained in the area.
Thursday afternoon, the protestors were absent and work appeared to be carrying on as normal at the site.
The Line 9 pipeline runs from Sarnia to Montreal,
Enbridge has received approval to increase its flow along the line from 240,000 barrels of oil per day to 300,000.
