With sunny skies and a high of 29 C, Monday is shaping up to be perhaps the best day we’ve seen so far in the summer of 2015.
It’s the sort of day that might encourage people to find reasons to spend some time outside.
If that sounds like you, you’ll want to make sure you get that time in the sun – because the rest of the week doesn’t look quite as nice.
In Waterloo-Wellington, Huron-Perth and Grey-Bruce, clouds are expected to move in overnight with rain starting to fall Tuesday morning.
Oxford-Brant will also receive rainfall, although likely not until the afternoon.
The rain will bring with it gusting winds, as well as the potential for a thunderstorm.
Environment Canada forecasts a 60 per cent chance of showers continuing through Tuesday night (70 per cent in Oxford-Brant).
The sun will peek back out Wednesday, and partly cloudy conditions are forecast for Thursday.
Both days will see forecast highs of 21 C in most of our viewing area, with Waterloo-Wellington at 22 C both days and Grey-Bruce at 22 C on Thursday.
Long-range forecasts show temperatures warming up for the weekend, with a slight chance of showers arriving by Sunday.
