TORONTO - There's another grim sign for Research in Motion, the troubled maker of the BlackBerry.

Waterloo, Ontario-based RIM says it's closing its retail store in Boston.

And, a source says RIM is thinking about doing the same to all other such locations across North America.

RIM won't comment on a report that another 3,000 jobs are about to be cut.

But a spokesman says any cuts would be part of the 5,000 jobs the company has already announced it will slash.

RIM is trying to turn itself around after losing more than half-a-billion dollars in the first quarter.

The company has watched its BlackBerry lose market share to Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy smartphones.
