Four days in November have been set aside for the trial of Todd Cowan, the former mayor of Woolwich Township.

Cowan is charged with fraud and breach of trust, in connection with $2,800 worth of mileage and conference expenses he billed to both the township and the Region of Waterloo during his time as mayor.

The money was paid back, but a criminal investigation ultimately resulted in charges being laid earlier this year.

He was re-arrested in July, after failing to attend a scheduled court date.

Cowan ran for re-election last October, finishing last in a field of four candidates.
