The total number of confirmed influenza cases as Grand River Hospital’s Freeport site has risen to five.
Wednesday, hospital officials said two cases of the flu had been confirmed in patients on level two of Union Terrace.
Friday, a third case was confirmed – as were two cases on the fourth floor of the facility.
In all cases, authorities say, patients are in stable condition and have been isolated from other patients.
Freeport remains open to visitors, although hospital officials suggest anyone with flu-like symptoms stay away until they have spent two days symptom-free.
