Officials at Grand River Hospital say they’ve isolated two patients who have tested positive for influenza.

The outbreak was declared Wednesday at the hospital’s Freeport site – specifically, in the Union Terrace Two unit.

According to a hospital press release, the patients are in stable condition and receiving treatment, while no other patients have displayed flu-like symptoms.

During flu season, officials say, anyone with flu symptoms should avoid visiting hospitals until they have been symptom-free for two days.
