Sentencing was delayed Friday for a Guelph man who killed his infant son three years ago.

Bobby Gregoire pleaded guilty to manslaughter earlier this month in connection with the death of his son Chase.

According to documents filed in court, the boy had suffered a severe head injury from being struck, and been shaken as well.

The Crown is seeking an eight-year prison term for Gregoire, whose lawyer has suggested a sentence of four or five years.

Gregoire, 34, will instead be sentenced on Nov. 10.
