A former Guelph resident faces a charge of second-degree murder in connection with the 2012 death of his then-seven-week-old son.
Bobby Gregoire, 33, was arrested Wednesday in Toronto by Guelph Police.
He appeared Thursday in bail court, and was remanded into custody until July 3.
On Aug. 21, 2012, emergency crews were called to a home on Julia Drive in northwest Guelph.
Upon arrival, they found an infant without vital signs.
Paramedics were able to revive the baby, but Chase William Gregoire-Swartz was pronounced dead the next day in a Hamilton hospital.
Police have yet to release information on what caused the infant’s death.
A publication ban covers evidence cited at Thursday’s court appearance.
