Waterloo Region police are thanking the public for their help locating an 83-year-old woman with dementia who had been missing since early Friday afternoon.
She was found in good health shortly before 7 p.m.
Ana Melka had been missing since about 12:30 p.m. after being dropped off at the Highland Hills Mall in Kitchener.
Melka is a resident at the Lanark Nursing Home, but had not returned there.
Police conducted an extensive ground search in their efforts to locate her.
Melka is described as 5’3” tall with a medium build and grey hair. She was last seen wearing a dark fleece coat with a hood, dark scarf and polka dot dress. She uses a turquoise walker to get around and is described as very mobile.
