Police investigating Kitchener shooting into residence

Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating after suspected bullet holes were found on a Kitchener residence Thursday afternoon.

On Jan. 9 at around 4:30 p.m., police were called to a residence in the area of Howe Drive and Ottawa Street South for property damage.

Police said several holes were found on the side of the home, which were determined to be caused by bullets.

Investigators believe that the shots associated with the damage were fired around 3:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

Police said the residence was occupied at the time of the shooting but no one was hurt.

The investigation continues and there will be an increased police presence in the area throughout Friday.
