Six-time national champion Mandy Bujold of the Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy will be the Main Event at a boxing show scheduled for Friday night at the Arnie Boehm Training Centre located at the new Activa SportsPlex.
Challenging Bujold will be Sukhpreet Singh, the 2010 National Junior Champion who is entering her first year in the Senior ranks. Bujold will be boxing in her hometown for the first time since 2006.
The evening of boxing has been dubbed "Homecoming" and will also feature other W.R.B.A. champions including Cambridge-native, 14-year-old Tajinder Lall, the 2011 National Junior Champion, 17-year-old Kitchener local Suad Murseli, the 2010 National Youth Champion and 19-year-old David Palacios, who has won several Provincial Titles.
The Waterloo Regional Boxing Academy event begins Friday (September 16th) at 7:00 pm at the Activa Centre, located at 135 Lennox Lewis Way in Kitchener. This will be the first inaugural boxing show at the venue, named after egendary boxing coach Arnie Boehm who passed away in October, 2002.
