Along with the flu vaccine, Ontarians will now be able to go to their local pharmacies for shots to protect against an additional 13 preventable diseases.

Travel vaccines for hepatitis A and B, typhoid, rabies, H-P-V and shingles and other ailments will be available at pharmacies for anyone over age of five starting December 15th.

Health Minister Eric Hoskins says pharmacies are a convenient alternative to getting vaccines at a doctors' office or clinic.

Ontarians can also continue to receive vaccines that are part of the province's publicly funded immunization program from their doctor, free of charge.
