PARRY SOUND, Ont. - One man is dead after a train hit an ATV stuck on the tracks this morning in Mowat Township.
West Parry Sound provincial police say a southbound train rounded a curve and CN employees saw two men trying to remove an ATV from the tracks.
CN officials say one man was on the quad and the other was trying to pull the machine from the tracks.
The man in front of the vehicle was able to avoid the train but the man operating the ATV was struck.
The investigation is ongoing and no names are being released.
