LONDON, Ont. - Jurors in the Tori Stafford murder trial in London, Ontario got a break Thursday from the gut wrenching testimony they've been hearing this week.
Lawyers and the judge spent the day behind closed doors discussing legal issues.
On Friday, Terri-Lynne McClintic will continue testifying in the first-degree murder, kidnapping and sexual assault trial of her ex-boyfriend Michael Raferty.
The 21-year old McClintic is serving a life sentence after pleading guilty to the first-degree murder of eight-year old Victoria Stafford in April, 2009.
She told the court Wednesday that when she led Tori to a vehicle where Raferty was waiting, he complained the little girl wasn't young enough.
The jury was also shown surveillance video from a Home Depot where McClintic bought garbage bags and a hammer used to kill Tori.
On Tuesday McClintic testified that she delivered the fatal hammer blows after Tori's sexual assault prompted flashbacks to her own childhood traumas.
