CAMBRIDGE, Ont. - The former operators of an Ontario adoption agency who are charged with fraud will be back in court June 23.

Lawyers for Rick and Susan Hayhow appeared in court in Cambridge today on behalf of their clients.

The former operators of the Imagine Adoption agency, which arranged the adoption of international children for Canadian couples, were arrested last month.

Police allege the couple spent some $420,000 of the non-profit agency's funds on personal items, such as vacations, home renovations and clothing.

The Hayhows are charged jointly with one count of breach of trust, six counts of fraud over $5,000 and three counts of fraud under $5,000.

They are also charged individually with one count of fraud over $5,000.
