If Waterloo Region’s light rail transit system is extended to Cambridge, how will it get there?

Regional transportation officials say they’re working to figure that out, and want to hear ideas from members of the public.

Two public meetings are being held this month to gather that feedback.

One takes place Nov. 18 at Cambridge City Hall, between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The following day, transportation planners will be at the Kingsdale Community Centre in Kitchener from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

One possible route is the current one travelled by rapid buses, which leave Fairview Park Mall and stop at Sportsworld, Pinebush Road, Cambridge Centre, Can-Amera Parkway and the Delta intersection on their way to the Ainslie Street bus terminal.

A preferred route is expected to be selected and made public late next year.
