Guelph Police are investigating after a homeowner told them someone had entered her home and taken some of her belongings while she was asleep.

Police were called to the home in the area of London Road East and Dufferin Street on Tuesday. The owner told police that she went to bed around midnight on Monday and woke up on Tuesday morning and discovered her front door was open and some of her personal items taken.

She told police that she checked the dumpster behind nearby businesses and was able to find some of her belongings but is still missing her laptop, cash and identification.

Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Melissa Anthony at 519-824-1212, ext. 7487, or email manthony@guelphpolice.ca.
