City council in London has approved a twice delayed green bin pilot project.
About 750 homes in the south part of London will test out the program at a cost of $100,000 starting next month.
The program comes with a $7.6 million startup cost and will cost $5.5 million annually to run.
London was the only major city in the province without a green bin program.
