An out-of-business hog processing plant in Ontario is about to be put back to use.
Sofina Foods is going to convert the former Great Lakes Speciality Meats plant in Mitchell into a turkey processing operation.
No start date for the conversion work has been announced, but the company expects to have it up and running later this year.
Sofina operates 17 facilities in Canada and one in the northwestern U-S, plus three hatcheries.
