If you’re looking to buy a private sector college campus lock, stock and barrel, Everest College has the deal for you.

Corinthians College, which owns the Everest campus on Gaukel Street in Kitchener, confirmed Tuesday to CTV News that its local operation is up for sale – as are its others across the province.

“We have made the decision to sell our 14 Everest campuses in Ontario and hope to complete that process over the next six months,” said spokesperson Kent Jenkins.

Corinthians isn’t just looking to sell the properties – it wants to sell its entire for-profit education operations.

Until a buyer is found, normal operations continue at the schools.

Jenkins says the school hopes to minimize disruption to students and employees as it works through the sale process.

Students at the downtown Kitchener campus told CTV News they’re not worried about the transition.

“I initially was, when I initially heard about it, but I am confident that these issues will be resolved in a manner that will be beneficial to both faculty and the owners of the college, and also to us, the students,” said Marlon Ayaala-Perdomo, a business administration student.

“It’s in their best interest to treat us well. We’re the customers. They realize that.”

Sarah Bailey, who is also enrolled in the business program, pointed to the campus’s past – which includes stints operating under other banners.

“It’s not the first time that this school’s changed owners. I’m not really that worried about it,” she said.

Programs offered at the Kitchener campus include law enforcement foundations, personal support work, dental assistance and medical office administration.

A number of Everest campuses in the United States are being closed outright, with 85 more put up for sale.
