A Guelph man faces a variety of charges after allegedly being clocked at more than double the speed limit in Guelph’s north end.

Guelph Police say an officer noticed the man’s vehicle, a brown Chevrolet Malibu, early Sunday morning.

At the time, it was headed southbound on Woolwich Street, near Speedvale Avenue.

Police say the vehicle was driving at 102 km/h, in a 50 km/h area.

The 22-year-old driver was pulled over and arrested.

He faces charges including impaired driving, street racing, speeding and driving with open liquor present.
