Six units in a townhouse row in Kitchener’s east end were evacuated Thursday night due to a fire.

The fire broke out shortly before 10 p.m. at a townhouse complex on Old Chicopee Drive, near Holborn Drive.

Fire officials tell CTV News the cause of the fire was likely an unattended pot of oil.

Damage is estimated at $150,000.

No injuries were reported.
