An Oxford County man is charged with criminal negligence causing death and drug trafficking following the death of a woman.
The OPP announced Tuesday that William Knapp, a Norwich resident, was arrested Monday afternoon at a business on Main Street in that community.
Firefighters and EMS workers had initially been called to the business, but what they found – details of which have not been released publicly – prompted them to request police assistance.
Carolyn Dewit, a 32-year-old woman from Norwich, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Knapp, 33, was taken into custody and appeared in court Tuesday.
Police say the drug trafficking charge against him relates to Fentanyl.
