A cyclist was taken to hospital Wednesday afternoon after being hit by a car while riding south of Kitchener.

The collision occurred around 3:10 p.m., on Roseville Road in North Dumfries.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the 67-year-old cyclist was hit from behind while attempting to turn left onto Kings Road.

She was taken to hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

The driver of the car, a 24-year-old woman from Gorrie, is facing a charge of careless driving.
