Paul Kuntz, a prominent Kitchener-Waterloo businessman and C.E.O. of Kuntz Electroplating, has died.
Kuntz, 72, passed away Wednesday at Grand River Hospital. He'd fought a long battle with cancer.
Kuntz was well known as both a community leader and philanthropist.
Kuntz Electroplating is one of Kitchener's longest family-owned businesses. It's also one of the largest and most advanced metal finishing manufacturers in North America.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Kitchener.
His family has asked that donations be made in his memory to Waldenstrom's Macroglobulinemia Foundation of Canada (WMFC) or the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre.
