Brantford Police say a patron leaving the Brantford Casino on Sunday morning assaulted some of the picketers in the parking lot.

“Obviously intoxicated, very heavy smell of alcohol on his breath, very violent in nature,” says Cary MacMillian, one of the locked out workers at the casino.

MacMillian is one of three people who were shoved around at 6:30 AM. He says one of his fellow picketers was also punched.

More than 600 casino workers hit the picket lines on Friday evening after contract talks broke off between Unifor, the union representing over 600 employees and the Ontario Lottery Gaming Corporation.
