3 teens arrested following alleged armed robbery in Kitchener

Three young teens, between the ages of 14 and 15-years-old, have been arrested following an alleged armed robbery in Kitchener.

Waterloo Regional Police were called to a business located near Ottawa Street South and Fischer Hallman Road at around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Three suspects reportedly entered the business and stole merchandise. According to police, during the robbery a gun was shot. No one was hurt.

“Waterloo Regional Police quickly identified the suspect's vehicle and coordinated with the Ontario Provincial Police. The vehicle was located a short time in Peel Region,” police said in a media release.

The three suspects, all from the Greater Toronto Area, were arrested and held for a bail hearing.

Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Robbery Unit is continuing the investigation.
