The Siemens Canada wind turbine blade manufacturing plant remains operational, but some equipment can’t be used due to a workplace injury that occurred earlier this week.
Monday morning, a male worker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“The worker was hooking up a loader to a turbine blade,” said Ministry of Labour spokesperson Janet Deline.
Details of exactly what happened to cause the injuries remain under investigation by ministry officials.
