OPP and Brant County fire responded to two fires on Cockshutt Road south of Brantford within 24 hours of one another on Friday, they are currently investigating the causes of both.
The first fire call was at a storage building at the John Derus Service Centre at 2:00 a.m. on Friday. Cars were being stored in the building, fire crews were able to get to the scene quickly to save the structure.
An investigator from the Ontario Fire Marshall is at the scene along with OPP and Brant Fire.
A second fire call came in at around 10:30 p.m. Friday evening at an abandoned barn on Cockshutt Road and Oxbow Road.
Four stations were on scene until 3:00 a.m. fighting the barn fire, brush fires and a field fire. The barn was completely burned to the ground by the time the fire was out.
Officials say that the two fires are not related.
OPP are asking anyone who witnessed either fires to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
