A Kitchener elementary school marked a major milestone Saturday with the help of its alumni.
Sunnyside Public School on Weber Street East held an open house to celebrate its 75th anniversary.
The day’s festivities included a food truck festival, the opening of a time capsule and the unveiling of the school’s ‘Wall of Distinction’ – which featured figure skater Cindy Overland, writer and investor Dave Chilton, and football player Markus Koch.
Graduates of Sunnyside were also invited to sign their names on banners adorning the school’s walls.
