It has been a season to remember for Kitchener Panthers designated hitter Sean Reilly.  On Monday night, he was named the most valuable player in the Intercounty Baseball League this year after achieving the triple crown.  He is just the 3rd player to IBL history to accomplish the feat.  Reilly led the league with 17 home runs, 48 RBI and a batting average of .444

Reilly finished with 28 votes in MVP balloting, beating out Shaun Cooper of the Burlington Bandits who finished with 24 votes.

Reilly and the Panthers open the championship series tonight on the road against the Barrie Baycats.  Game 2 in the best of seven series is on Thursday night at Jack Couch Park in Kitchener.
