On the streets of Innerkip, there’s a new ice cream truck in town.

Two young entrepreneurs are spending the last weekend before school raising money for a local charity.

It’s a cardboard cut-out, covered with bright colourful popsicles and stocked full of them too!

With the help of mom and dad, Georgia and Contessa Dorken cruise the streets of their neighbourhood, searching for anyone who will donate money in exchange for an icy treat.

“We had a conversation about what we were going to do with the money and it was their idea to give it to somebody else,” says Kim Dorken, Georgia and Contessa’s mom.

All of the money raised by Innerkip’s smallest entrepreneurs will go towards United Way of Oxford’s Supplies for Students program.

The venture has become so successful; the little girls have lost count at how many popsicles they have sold.

Customers say they like the cause and they will be back.

“It’s a great learning experience for them to know that other children aren’t as fortunate as they might be,” says Bill Osgerby, neighbour.
