The OPP made use of an unmanned aerial vehicle, or UAV, to locate for separate plots of marijuana growing in a cornfield near Wellington Road 4 in the town of Minto.
Wellington County OPP say they were called on Friday by a property owner who had found two large duffel bags of the drug.
Officers soon spotted two men running into a bush and nearby cornfield.
That’s when the Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, and the UAV were called in to search the area.
The suspects got away, but police did turn up about 300 mature marijuana plants.
