A 17-year-old from Guelph faces charges after his lost backpack ended up in police custody.

Guelph Police say they were contacted Monday morning about a backpack that had been left on a Guelph Transit bus.

While investigating the backpack, police say they discovered marijuana inside of it.

Once the bag’s owner was identified, he was charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

Police did not say how much marijuana was in the backpack.
