An air ambulance was called to Waterloo Region after a man fell from a scaffold at a construction site in Waterloo late Monday morning.

The fall occurred around 10 a.m., at a condo development under construction at King and John streets.

The man fell a little more than 15 metres from third-floor scaffolding.

A spokesperson for Ornge said that the air ambulance was called to transport a man in his 20s to Hamilton General Hospital.

The man was said to be in critical condition at the time, but a coworker said that his condition had stabilized later on.

The Ministry of Labour is investigating.
