After stepping out of a pickup truck, a 69-year-old woman was seriously injured when the vehicle ran over her.
Guelph Police say the woman was a passenger in the truck, being driven by her son, on Cityview Drive.
According to police, the man stepped out of the vehicle – at which point it started rolling in reverse.
The man tried to jump back into the vehicle, but was knocked to the ground.
The woman jumped out from the passenger seat. She then fell to the ground, ending up pinned under the truck’s front wheel.
Damage to the truck is estimated at more than $2,500.
