TORONTO -- A road in Prince Edward County has been voted CAA's worst thoroughfare in Ontario in the auto club's annual online poll.
County Road 49 has knocked off last year's losing road in Timmins, Ont., the east-west portion of Algonquin Boulevard.
CAA says those roads remain in the Top 5, along with a road in Thunder Bay, Ont., and one in St. Catharines, Ont.
The auto club says the poll shows that more attention needs to be paid to smaller municipalities.
Participants cited potholes, congestion and pedestrian and cycling safety as reasons they participated in the online vote.
Dufferin Street in Toronto, which was named the worst road for three years running until slipping to third worst last year, has fallen again this year to ninth worst in the province.
