Police say the two suspects went to a home near Shedden, broke into the residence, stole a set of keys and left the property now driving a stolen blue pickup.

Police spotted the suspects in the truck on Talbot Line, and another attempt was made to stop the suspects east of Shedden on Mill Road.  The truck crashed into two cruisers and kept going.

The blue pickup headed east on Longhurst Line where it struck another two cruisers.    The pickup was eventually abandoned on Longhurst and the two suspects flagged down a passing vehicle.  They assaulted the people and tried to steal the vehicle. The driver was able to drive away, leaving the suspects at the side of the road.  In an attempt to elude police, they hid in the ditch but were spotted and apprehended by police.

When police traced the suspects’ route, they discovered two long guns in the stolen white pickup truck that was left in Shedden.

The four cruisers that were struck had to be towed from the crash scenes and the officers inside were transported to hospital to be treated.
