Croissant Quiche with “Stemmler’s” ham, broccoli & 3 cheeses
1 cup whipping cream
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
Pinch of ground pepper
3 croissants, sliced lengthwise
¾ cup grated cheese (we use a combination of asiago, parmesan and swiss)
1 cup steamed broccoli
¾ cup “Stemmler’s” ham, cubed
1. Preheat oven to 375 F.
2. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
3. Dip the sliced croissants into the egg mixture and place in a quiche pan or pie plate, overlapping the croissants at the edges.
4. Scatter the cheeses, broccoli and ham over the sliced croissants. Pour the remaining egg mixture over top.
5. Bake for approx. 45 min until cooked throughout, puffed and golden.
Other variations to try:
-roasted vegetable and goat cheese
-bacon, red pepper and cheddar
-smoked salmon, dill and mozzarella
-caramelized squash, sage and sausage
