Multiple schools in Cambridge’s north end were placed in hold and secure Friday afternoon.
Waterloo Regional Police say those measures were taken due to a police call on Linda Drive shortly before 3 p.m.
Silverheights Public School and at least one other school were affected.
After a short period of time, the hold and secures were lifted.
Further details about the incident on Linda were not immediately available. Police said the situation has been resolved.
Unlike a lockdown, a hold and secure allows people to move about a school as usual. The restriction is that nobody can enter or exit the building.
